Actually, I think you'll find that we actually came 4th in the men's compound division in Beijing. We lost our semi-final match to Germany, then in the play-off for bronze we came even with Great Britain, forcing a shoot-off. We lost the shoot-off by one point. So you might want to tell your information source that it would have been nice but they're ill-informed.

Unfortunatly I've only been able to get my info from the official site of the champs and they list us getting silver. So I have no way of knowing who is right or wrong.

Their site has been badly done from the start with it being down or not showing results for a few days with little info. Doesn't shock me that they would get the results wrong. :( When will Fita learn that to get recognition as a high end sport they need a high quality web site. I think just about every club in Victoria does a better job.

The official web site actually does give you a pdf file of the breakdown of rounds as well as pictures of the winners podium. However, I understand the confusion as they actually did have a few glitches with the reporting of men's team compound. However, I would advise you to trust me in saying we came fourth, as Sherbrooke's Bryce Lee was part of the team. His coach, also a member of Sherbrooke, has been in touch with Bryce who gave him a full report of the bronze medal match. Incidently, in the playoff with Great Britain which was a tie, each team member was then required to shoot one arrow, and the nation with the biggest tally one - GB shot 10, 10, 9 while Australia shot 10, 9, 9....
:( :( :(
However, we can rest assured here in Victoria that our rep was the one to shoot a ten - still, you've got to feel for them :(

Cool, thanks for that, I'll post up a clarification on the report. While it's a shame they didn't get the medal they still did very well over there. Bryce shot really well on the second day of the qualifyer, one of the best on the day from what I saw.
