Hey Wuidara good to see you here.

insane isn't it. The whole time I was looking over the site I was thinking "but Why??? Archery is suppose to be a challenge, not just pumping holes in things, that's what guns are for!"
Next they will be strapping arrows to rocket launchers and claiming that's for sporting use!

Been playing too many video games. They are warping my fragile little mind. :)
Now, question is if you shot a rabbit with one of those, will there be enough to eat afterwards.

for those who havn't visited the site yet:
"
The Airrow blanks used in these rifles are available in two different power levels and each power level has its own color code for easy identification. Power Level 5 is colored Red and demonstrates a nominal muzzle velocity of 335 fps with the 2512 arrow, while Power Level 6 is color coded Purple and has an approximate muzzle velocity of 435 fps with the same arrow. The resulting muzzle energies are 76 and 128 foot pounds respectively.

By NO means is that archery :x That is gun hunting with an arrow stuffed down the barrel and propelled by a charge of powder 0X Would not be any sport at all with this

I think that would be unreal to take hunting(i shoot rifles as well).

It would be something different.

but i do agree it is really just another gun that shoots larger projectiles. If i had the money i think it would be a fun thing to muck around with but i don't.

Wouldn't it be a spear gun without the rope???

This sort of amounts to a wooden barbecue grate. Or a round bladed knife.

It features an arrow that goes too fast for its principle. Or a gun with an inadequate bullet for its principle. That way, both principles are missing, and what remains is another funny experiment.

No way you can have sport with it. How would you name it, anyway? Arrfle? Gunchery?
 [/i]

It's harpooning just need to find very small whales.
Or scale it up and you've got yourself the gun(rifle?) from JAWS

that arrow gun has been a hot button for sportsmen all over the world..ArcheryTalk had a extensive thread that kind of got crazy over that same add you just showed .... I for one can not condone its use in the field (period) it is just to far out of the box for me and many others...

*maybe novilty shoots-but not hunting.

Marcus summed it up in three words:

Only in America!

:fist: :fist: I'm an American and I own six of the suckers. I use them to kill every thing that walks in the woods. Why, I'm going out tomarrow to kill some baby critters just for the joy us Americans get out of shootin' things. So, how many of you idiots believe that one. Ya' might concentrate on hunting and the sport rather than slamming free people.damn!!! SEE YA!!!!

He can't be that much of a wanker just playing with one.

Hahah, all the negative responses from archers are funny. I think this thing would be a lot of fun to shoot targets from long distance with a scope.

For hunting rabits it would be quite lame indeed.

8) I wouldn't worry about it to much, alot of states won't even allow you to hunt with a crossbow,so I really doubt there will be any LEGAL hunting going with it.But it would be pretty cool to try out on some targets! brw

put a 122cm face at 150m and start shooting. should be pretty cool :D
or a 40cm face at 70m. that would be interesting too.

better be accurate though

definitely not in the bow category.. a bow that stays loaded with no effort... more a crossbow than a bow.

or as was said, just another rifle with a very large projectile.

Just harking back to our A-merican wanker have you ever noticed how they seem to think they have a monopoly on freedom.

They only shoot in excess of 11000 of there own citizens a year. Something for us poor aussies to strive for.

Coming right back at you alloutdoors you brainless git.

Good to see them at it again. There are theories that hunting season is an excuse for loonies to go hunting humans. "It was an accident"

Obviously spelling king isn't grammar king.
