Interesting to read David Anears' editorial on who should be liable for the cost of State uniforms. Whether or not I agree with his opinion is of little importance here - I'm sure we all have the ability to make up our own minds on the matter. Nevertheless, I strongly support David's position that it is not the place of Archery Victoria's president to issue clubs with a edict on how they should vote/view/feel about a particular issue (a letter issued under the AV letterhead mind you). I feel that David's suggestion that an "abuse of power" is taking place is a valid one. However, David goes on to suggest that our AV president should be directing his attention to gaining sponsorhip/funding/financial support in order to clothe the best our state has to offer. I mean...really!! Who on earth is going to financially back a sport that can't even run its state organising body in a subjective and diplomatic manner (So much for striking while the iron's hot).
