Ahh the Allegence
Yep, i've jumped on the band wagon. And im proud to admit it... the damn thing rocks! #Robot
As hard as i tried, the thing doesnt want to miss the 10. #alien
I have just ended four months of research into what is going to be my next bow. I got catalogues from nearly all of the companies and trawled the internet for every reputable target compound bow.....
It came down to four bows...... Conquest Apex 7, Switchback, Illusion and Allegence. I had a chance to shoot the Allegence and a few other bows.... A last week I ordered an Allegence from Urban......can't wait to get my hands on it.
I was always put off Bowtech because of the American nationalistic rubbish inherent in their names and flag-waving everywere. I'm not a fan of the American cultural hegomony and imperialism (I'll stop before getting into politics. Although I think the company could tone it down a-bit for a world-wide market) but the bow is too good to overlook. I am not going to shoot an inferior bow because I am put off by how the company markets their bows.... well not when reading the specs on the Allegence.
Personally I don't care who's bow may copy or which other bows it is inspired by, it is going to put a smile on my face every time I shoot it, and be likely find the gold more often than my current bow.
:fadein: For my shooting style it is the best I could find on the market... So now i'll be a 'Bowtech Bitch' (in joke at Sherbrooke) too.... and loving it! Seems like a good bandwagon to be on.

Just got the Alliance in and starting tuning it up. Waiting for a new NAP quick tune and some other stuff but got it shootable with an older rest.
Bigg surprice firing it first time, absolutely no shock, or vibration like other bows me been trying.
Got a Camo Obsession with 28" and 60 pounds. speed modules, but will be receiving also the smooth stuff (2006).
After some few shots noticed one of the cam screws got loose but got it tightened luckily before any damage could occur. (Dunno bout lock tight here though???)
Would maybe have prefered the grip to be more flat like on a 2006 independence but no real problem.
All in all a top of the class bow and even the camo paintwork looks nice on this 2006.
Still got all the hush hush fancy stuff on it and its certainly fast enough as it is so I doupt I will bother to strip it off. Dropped the brass nock point off course, and gave it a decent D-loop. Don't think its good policy to shoot directly off the string with a fixed head release.
Lookint forward to get it more properly tuned up when new rest arrives hopefully in a few days time. Great toy

Yep, still over the moon with Allegiance.
Shot a few PB's which is always a good thing.
Your right Harald its a bit of a shock at first that there is no recoil after the shot.
It would take a lot to prise this bow out of my hand :D

I decided with my 06 model to cut the hush kit of without shooting it. I prefer the clean lines without the hush kit personally.
Little bit of vibration in the stabilizer, but nothing bad. I put a Doinker on the end of the Vibracheck and the bow is incredibly quiet and vibration free.

I did exactly the same Marcus,
I just don't like the look of the hush kit on the strings and it made no difference to my bow.

Yep, Allegiance's rock. I've been beating every PB i had set with mine. Great bow.
Mine still has the hush kit, but it'll come off when the winners choice go on :D

mmnn, I have had my allegience for 2 weeks now, bought it on a thursday, set the rest and sights on friday pm, shot the ABA comp at Wagga on a saturday with borrowed arrows, and shot a 346 in the 3 arrow. seeing as I had never used sights or release aide before I was mighty happy. I have a biscuit rest on it which I think is a medium and might have to try a small as the Carbon express arrows I now am using seem to float a bit in the middle, even soth first time I shot it in the shop it was like jeepers creepers, this thing in sexy.
the bow is a
2006 allegience
61lb
28" with fast modules,
cheapo sight (will be replaced by either a dead nuts pro or a spott hogg)
TRU tornado release.
carbon express eliminators. with 2" blazers
the only hassle that I am having with it is the peep sight doesn't turn all the way around when drawing, I have shortened the peep rubber to no avail. Thinking about a no peep system. any comments?

Tke it back to the shop and get them to twist the string or move the strands to get the peep rotated correctly.

Yep,I agree they are a waste of time and money.
If you have your string/peep set up properly you shouldn't need it
Harald

Agree on NO peep. I used it a while ago together with the peep just to check out my hand postiion and make certain I did not torque the bow
(not with the alliance) but it takes a lot of hazzle to set it up correctly and make certain it stays that way. Hardly worth the effort.
I would not trust it without a peep. Better to use a (Bowmaster??) wire thing (bowpress function) and take the time to adjust your peep properly.
You also off course have these peep types which you attach by dviding your string in four and which would function even though your string twists but personaly don't like them.
Theres also some alum nocking points to put on the string which will help in keeping string correct angel but they might influnce the arrow when launched if to much sidepressure is put on.
Here some blokes are beginning to use fat boy or simular for short distances and using the x10 or whateva for the longer distances in one and same comp in for instance Fita field. Is this common your way??
:D 8) :bday:
Allegiances ROCK.
:D
First scoring round I shot, not shooting my best, and absolutely smashed my previous best score! (Although, the scores aren't anything to be PROUD of, I'm still stoked!)

Could not resist myself but had to try one of these 4.th axis thing.
http://www.archerytech.com/
You probably can do very well with using your 3.d axis but then again its still another sexy thing to play with 8)
Mounted the thing the wrong way since I dont like my scope to far out in front of the bow and to fool meself into think i've getten better weight adjustment on the bow. (Was heavier than i thought but seems to be very solid and good manufatured)
Dunno if it helps downhill upphill, but dont think it hurts anyway.
