just wondering are the grip on the helixs only can be used for Helix or can it be used for the Aerotec?

I've asked this same question myself. No. The screw holes are not in the same places plus the internal contour is different.

Loesch might have a Helix shaped grip that can fit the Aerotec though. The main difference is it's a higher grip than the stock Aerotec one.

Take a look at this thread.

okay... the grip can't fit but has anyone tried to fit in the new Radial locking system on the Helix and fitted into the Aerotec?

I swear I've already told you this on at least 3 different occasions. Don't you believe me or something? :o

A bit of logical thought would tell you that it still won't work if the screws are in different places in the riser... ;-)

You need a good rap on the head, Jay.G. As long as it's made for the Helix, it will NOT fit the Aerotec regardless of material. I myself am waiting for Loesch to do a Helix like grip for the Aerotec. Just emailed them. Will let you know the answer when they get back to me.

i can see what he would've thought, all the risers grips fit, why not the helix?

then i read the thing on hoyt and saw the change. does the eclipse have the same modification?

Not the radian ;) And anyways, I wouldn't have thought the aerotec's one would fit the Avalon Plus - the Aerotec's grip is much slimmer, but not as slim as the helix.

I never even thought that they might not be - I just bunged my old grip on because my Aerotec came with a plastic grip.

Does the Axis' grip fit on the other risers?

Oh, righties then. I thought the Axis one wouldn't work, as it uses the shim system.

The shims + metal on the riser axis = metal on other hoyt risers. Does that make sense?

But I can't recall if the grip will actually fit. I use a stock Hoyt grip on my Axis and it can move a little bit. But this is easily solved with some double sided sticky tape.

Yes, it does make sense. Thanks.

It was only idle curiosity anyway, I don't have an Axis nor any intention of using the grip off one :-)

Got a Helix in yesterday, must say, they are worth buying for the grip alone.
Very nice.

With all that's been said about the stock grip, wouldn't things hit the roof with the ortho version? According to TexARC from Sagittarius, that one is even better.

I'm no recurver, by any stretch of the imagination - but I checked out the Helix tonight.

...it's almost enough to make me reconsider!

Yeah I've been thinking about it all day actually, and having that nice Cobalt blue one there aint helping.

Yeah Ja it is slim, really nice in the hand. I'll try and get some photos next to another riser. I like the grip alot.

Got the Eclipse as a back up riser for indoor purely for the grip, which is the same as the Helix? This is one grip that won

Ok, to anyone who's interested, Loesch has answered my query about a Helix shaped grip for the Aerotec. Yes, they can make one for the Aerotec. Not going to be cheap though and don't know whether they're going to charge a surcharge since it's not listed on their website. As listed, it's USD99.

Because if they made it fit the Aerotec, they'd cannibalise sales of Helices.
