Was stupid enough to break my upper limb (Matin Elite) on my beloved Martin Scepter II (red  ) a week ago or so. Probably my own fault being a donkey :D . Bow was bought 2 years ago on ebay. Anyway this terrific guy from Martin: Joelc on the AT has offered to send me some new ones ASAP. Service like that on a second hand bow is much beyond my expectations in this matter and enforces my believes in Martin as one of the truly great archery companies out there. Thank you Martin I now believe in miracles, promises to brush my teeth every evening and will even, for the future, try to behave myself which off course will be quite a struggle. Looking forward to firing that Scepter again even though my Jaguar in the mean time has functioned quite well as an indoor substitute.
My Martin Altitude is on vacation at my cabin in ChiangMai longing to be cuddled again next year.

Thank you Martin and Joelc in particular. :D :D :D

Mate,

Not just beyond expectations, any reply at all from Martin smacks of divine intervention.
Maybe Mathews bought the company?

I sent Martin 3 emails about 18months ago and am still waiting for a reply.
On the other hand The bottom Tru-arc cam on my Cougar fell apart . 4 weeks later I have a new set of cams top and bottom and a new set of cables.

The trick... I went back to the shop I brought it from.

So to get an answer and assistance yourself is indeed bordering on a helping hand from the big bloke upstairs :P

Cheers Tim

IMHO Martin is no worse than any other company for warranty claims.

I have had bad experiences with PSE, Hoyt & Browning to name a few.

I have heard that some archery retailers refuse to sell Hoyt bows because they are among the worst for warranty claims.

So when we decide to bad mouth companies we should at least be objective about it and look at all companies not just pick on a few.

In my expererience if you contact the dealer where you bought the bow you stand a greater chance of satisfaction. I know of one retailer in Adelaide SA who, if you have a broken limb, will send a replacement the next day. Can't ask for more than that.

PS I don't even shoot Martin - just trying to inject some balance into the subject :)

Yepp the dream came true.
Got a new set of Razor Pro series cams fitting the scepter II quite perfect.
Very free and eazy except from bl... customs in Norway chargin some approx 40 au$.

Loocking at the cam angle me thinks they are a bit stiffer than the old ones but I can make some new longer cables to fix it if I start bothering bout it. Or of course bring out the oldviking knife and start making them a bitt thinner if I'm in the mood. 8) 8)

A great thank you to Joelc and Martin for helping me out and I still consider this a degree of service well beyound what is to be expected.

The bow is not loud at all. I can barely hear it when wearing my supersocnic XT GT Whateva mac4 heriong protectors.......

(just kidding ..... no bothering noise at all...)

Me bows to Joelc and Martin ... what great guys and may the live happily together until some other company sets them apart.

THANK YOU!!! :bday:

I had no problems with a warranty claim for a

I had a Martin Tiger (kids bow) and one of the limbs developed what looked like a very fine crack in the V at the end of the limb.

I sent the limbs back and had a new set of limbs sent back, no problems.

No joke it's for real.... :D :D :D 8)

I told them openly it was a second hand ebay bow and expected to pay some dough but they did not figure out the value of Norw Krones I guess and would not take it.....

might be Jesus is reborn over there or something...... 8)

Norw customs on the other hand managed to squeeze some coins out of the transaction.. the bl.... bas....t..a....r...d.....s

I've had nothing but great experiences with Martin. I bought my Aurora secondhand and the top limb twisted after about 9 months of shooting. I sent them back and got a new pair (with my choice of poundage) in exchange. They were too heavy, so once again got an exchange for a new, lighter weight pair. No problems since then. I always called them though (and talk to Martin Lotz or Becky West), since emails are difficult to know if they make it through, or go into junk mail filters.
