Look at Junior Archery under "will there be a 2007 Junior Nats" to see information on Junior and Senior Nationals being held together in April 2007 next year.

I hear that there will be no rest day between target and field...I hope they reconsider this......will be hard on the senior archers let alone the junior archers to shoot 4 days straight.

The archers have been given enough warning of the program. If they come in underdone, tough.

Four FITAs is pretty hard for a junior in a span of four days with no rest and matchplay right after. Not that i'm complaining but i hope they reconsider too

But it's not four FITAs in a row, two days of it are field. And if the field course is as short as this year's one those won't be tough days.
From the look of it they're not separating the competitors, so presumably they have two field courses?

cartz as a junior is referring to the fact that if he wants to compete in both senior and junior nats (in target only) that he will be shooting four fitas in a row, however, with the junior and senior matchplay presumably being shot simultaneously then archers competing in both will have to decide which is more important to them.
With the field, if you consider that at this year's nationals that people finished by 1pm or so, i don't think there'd be a problem with running a single field course with everyone on it (juniors or seniors on their respective days).

Agreed. At this year's Nats, I was very thankful for the rest day in between target and field.
A great opportunity to take stock, have a little break, do some fine tuning, iron out any little issues and get ready for the next round.

And if the kids spend less time writing love notes to each other on the target faces, then we should all be back at the clubhouse by midday!

Balarat in 97 had both the seniors and juniors together.
While the juniors shot the target the seniors shot the field then we had a matchplay day, follwed by clout and then it was the juniors turn to shoot field.
also a couple of days before the nats was the indoor nats
