After having the chanse to get an insatiable 3 on archery forum, it made me to some lookin on the carter website and i noticed the target 3 and just cuz are described as "accurate releases". This phrase has me a bit stumped how can they be more accurate than others and is the insatiable 3 as accurate ? Does having something like the ring make a release more accureate for eg?
Cheers

CheersYep the Just Cuz rocks and the ring is essential for finger spinning.

I tried an Insatiable tonight.
Damn - I'm tempted to start shooting a trigger...they're bloody nice.
Having said that - what makes a release accurate?
The dude behind it of course!

I kinda though that, i dont see how a different release can be more accurate, they all designed to squeeze a trigger and open a jaw so i dont see how one can be more accurate. Luke did u shoot an insatiable 3 and if so what did u think and Marcus whats ur oppinion on the insatiable 3, i dont think one with the ring is for me, would annoy me to much.
Cheers

I'm not sure...Marcus - did I shoot an Insatiable 3?
I know it was an Insatiable, and it was damn nice, but not sure if it was a 3....

No it was an Insatiable
Yeah the Insatiable 3 would be my pick after the Just Cuz and Target 3.

I tried a number of the Carters last night - they were all certainly nice releases, but only one really fit me nicely.
The Insatiable was the pick for me - it was sweet...probably because it feels like the Atension - just about my favourite release of all time. A close second was the Fits Me. The Just Cuz and Just B Cuz felt crap to me - but it all comes down to what feels nice in your hand.

Speaking of Releases, has anyone tried the new Carter Ember 1 or 2?
I am currently using a Target 4 and thinking of getting another release.
Tried one in Archery Academy, the action felt real nice.
They are "self loading", but suitable for smaller hands than the Chocalate Addition and have a shorter "barrell".
One has the jaw openning towards the face, the other away from the face - which model would be theortically better? - I can't remember which way the Chocolate Additions are orientated.

The insatiable 2 is nice as you get the twirling action after a shot, found they a very similar to the bighorn.

Serious about the SuperX.
You can adjust the thumb barrell to custom fit you, and take the tension from a blow on it trigger to 500# :o in 2 turns of an allen key.
Shoots great.... which is the inportant bit.
......... stay tuned you most likely buy mine next week, when something shinier and bluer comes along :D

Nah, just the Insatiable +, not the Insatiable 2 ... I'm not into twirling - just hitting the middle.
I'll leave the twirling to the nancy boys.

Does anyone know what a target 3 is like relative to the insatiable 3, no one at the club has a target 3 so i cant really get a feeling for it, would it be similar to the target 4 ?

i was under the impression they are more or less the same, with the 'targets' being thinner than the 'insatiables'

I had a Carter 3 and am currently shooting a Mag-X - Each to their own I suppose. I wouldn't mind having a try of the Stan though, just because I'm curious.

I just bought the carter ember 1 and like it a lot.
I like the way it has mulitple adjustments for fingers (2,3 or 4).
Also nice and light, small in the hand.
Only been shooting with it for a bit but feels great.

Either ask guys you're shooting with to try their release, or head to an archery store with some in stock and try a few out.
