a member of our club who shoots finger release and recurve saw a master using a finger tab made from leather with a metal plate between the fingers and the leather. The middle finger passes through a metal ring. Apparently you can slip in a divider to shoot mediterannean style.
He wants to know what brand it is so he can try to get one. Any one know?

Almost all the more popular ones have a metal plate but the Cavalier has one which covers about half of the leather face. Finger passes through a metal ring, as in the ball kind they use in sinks? That sounds like a pre 2005 Cavalier Elite tab.

This is a 2005 Cavalier Elite tab but that's actually a pre 2005 anchor ledge. The current ones are thicker. Was this what you saw?

This was the old style separator which should be the one he's using if he's using the one with a metal chain.

This is the current finger separator.

When you say Master do you mean an older person or an elite archer? If you ae referring to someone who has ben shooting a long time you may have been looking at an A&F shelf tab, popular in the 80's (wasn't that long ago surely....), these tabs had a silver shelf and plate which curled right over the top of your index finger
