Has anyone used 660 spined Navigators before? The Easton Shaft Selector recommended 610 for my setup and a pound or two below was 710 so I thought getting 660 would be ideal although it wasn't recommended in the 2005 Shaft Selector software for both compound and recurve setups. Unfortunately, I forgot that I'm using XQ-1s which being on the fast side would weaken shafts quite a bit. The Angel ASB Dyneema weakened it a bit further too. Was using Fast Flight earlier.
So right now, I'm wondering whether anyone has used this spine and with what poundage and drawlength. Point weights and fletching options would be useful too.
Also, is this a new spine? Wasn't recommended for both compound and recurve in the 2005 Easton Shaft Selector software.

Progen, I know you have asked this on Saggi, but have you asked on AT and AIUK.

Spent some time at the local shop going through catalogues. Found out that it came out in 2005 presumably to fit in the huge range that the 610 was supposed to cover. 28 inches from 38 to 46 lbs. Theoretically, this spine should be just nice for me but I guess the speed of the limbs soften it up quite a bit even at 100 grains. Going down to Easton's recommended 80 grains would give a rather silly FOC value, ending up at just about the exact center of the shaft when fletched with plastic vanes and fitted with G nocks.
ps. Sarcasm is wasted on me. If you want to play, get ready for the retorts.

Let me put it clearer and see whether you agree with my choice.
Actual AMO drawlength's about 27 inches. I have my arrows cut to about 27 3/4 inches. Using a Cavalier magnetic clicker and the longest clicker plate on my Aerotec.
Entered 38 lbs, 28 inches in the software. Came out as 610. Fine. Out of curiosity, I dropped a few pounds and got 710. Out of further curiosity, I went up and the software only suggested a higher spine (540) when I hit 50 lbs. No one spine can tune properly over a range of 15 lbs! That's pure crap. What I suspect is that although it's a '2005' software, it was programmed with either 2004 models or there's a bug somewhere and they left out the 660. Since I'm at the lower end of the 610 suggested range and a few pounds just after the 710 one, I thought the 660 would be perfect. In the past, I've had all my Easton shafts end on the stiff side - Redlines, Platinum Plus', X7s and A/C/Cs.

using the online shaft selector it gives 610 or 660, personally I would go with the 610 and use a full weight point
this has always worked for me, but I've rarely gone all out on tuning my bow, as long as the arrows aren't spraying all over the joint I've been happy

Wonder when they put up the 2006 software. Definitely wasn't there a few weeks ago. Sneaky buggers. Guess my timing was wrong.
Anyway, I'm starting tuning from scratch because I feel it'd help me progress faster. Way I look at it, if the bow and arrows are tuned properly, I'd get better feedback about every shot from them arrows.

I found that it was alot easier to tune the bow once I could shot it consistently

That's definitely true, StevenB and I'd like to think I'm at an intermediate level now. Besides, I'm not really going for the whole bull yet. Just doing all the basic and mid distance tuning from scratch, including nocking point adjustment. Not that nutty to do bareshaft at 70 metres yet.
Also, I'm going to get a whole lot of shooting practice in the process, aren't I?
