A big Thank You, to Rob Donnelly, from CASINO ARCHERY SUPPLIES, Merrilyns new Lizzard Green Prestige arrived today. Her first words, WOW thats pretty, I think in Male talk that means she likes it.
I'll set it up this weekend and I'll let you know how it goes, should be a real shooter for the shorter draw archer.

Can you take those string silencing things off? Seems a good package. I would like to see some speeds to see if they are as claimed. The Apex 7 seems to be better than advertised so I am guessing this thing is as good.

Alex, I'll put it through the chrono on the weekend and I'll let you know.
Over- all it looks like a smaller APEX 7.

Had one at our club this weekend. Speed looks good as claimed. Was shooting it beside a Bowtech Tribute with the smooth modules. The Mathews was a touch louder at the shot but was still a very nice shooting bow. I think the Tribute might have been a touch slower but that would be because it was shooting arrows at 70 grains more.

I think the Prestige is a good shorter draw bow alternative. Not enough to make me change from Merlin though 8) :D

My Prestige, straight out of the box 26 inch, 40lb, 5 grains per pound with string loop fitted went 274 fps through Pro Chrono. Looks great, feels great to shoot!

Zen have a Mathews Prestige in the shop now, there a nice little bow. Lighter then the Apex 7 and the grip is a little more narrow. Not a big fan of narrow grips personally, though this one feels better then the Apex's.

OK, Merrilyn put some shots through the Prestige today, and here's some stats.
Bow..... 45lb, 27.5" draw lenght
Arrows..... ACE...670, 1.5 x-vane, 70 grn point, 26.25"long, 226grn,...287ft\ sec.

Arrow.....ACE....720, 1.5 x-vane, 80 grn point, 25.5" long,240grn,....282ft\sec.

Arrow....ACE....720, 40 mm curly vane, 70 grn point, 25.5" long, 225grn,....290 ft\sec.

Talking to Rob at Casino Archery Supplies, this afternoon, he had a buyer over looking at a 28.5"....60lb ,Prestige, and while I don't know the arrow they were using, they got ...309ft\sec.
Again I would like to thank Rob for getting the bow here as quick as he did, great service. This bow is going to do great things for the archery world, especially if you have a draw lenght between 24 and 28 ",and it would definately be worth giving Rob a call.

it would be interesting to organise a head-to-head between the Prestige and the Equaliser, sort of short-draw shoot out. :D
