My wife has a Merlin TriAxis and we have just picked up that the sight bar actually slides out a little over the course of a shoot. It's screwed down as tight as it can be so just wondering if there is another fix we can try.

My wife also has a merlin omega tri axis sight. they are an excellent sight. she has te same problem.
once. she fired it and the sight popped out the front of the bow. i can only deduce that she did not have it tight enought or the grip on the stop was worn. she wasn't doing it up very tigh so that answers that.
try checking the little ruber/plastic bit on the end of the knob. wish i could be more helpful.

If the thread on the knob that holds the bar in place is long enough, put a nut on it and gently tighten it onto the slide on the bow. A neat trick is to get a piece of aluminium 6mm thick and about 15 - 20 mm long and drill and tap it to suit the thread on the knob .Use that as a lock nut. Saves having to keep a spanner handy.

The shurlock sight saver could possibly fit this might help things a bit other than than you could modify the bolt to be longer and make a bigger dimple in the bar.

Ok, a mate and I just fixed it like so.
The Merlin does not have the little holes / slots that the lock bolt screws into like some of the other brands do. Well my wifes does now. Simply marked the location the locking bolt needed to rest and drilled with a drill large enough to allow the nylon stop to push ito it, not right through the bar obviously, just deep enough to bury the nylon bush.
Havent field tested it yet but it looks unlikely it will move if it's in a slot.
It'll will probably snap in half right where the hole is now knowing her luck.

If that is what you call the stick on rubber dampeners, I think I'll get a couple anyway, there must be some vibration finding its way to that point for it to happen in the first place.

Try some TunerZ. They are a strap-on type limb saver. They work a treat for this kind of thing. I'm using one on my sight.
Give Rob a call at Casino Archery.
