What date does AA membership start? Is it at the end of June?
I did not renew my membership for this year 2005/2006. If I want to shoot the Indoor, the regos need to be in by June the 23rd.
Not sure how to enter if not a member untill after the closing date?

Robbo,
The AA membership is tied to ASNSW membership for you.
The ASNSW membership year is 1/7 to 30/6. If you did not renew your ASNSW membership, you could still rejoin through a club. But if you did not, what happened to your club?

Just on that subject Brian, can one remain a member of AA/ANSW without club affiliation?

Not sure on the status of our club. We were told we didn't have enough members last year. But the nearest club (besides here, if our club cannot continue) is 200 Km away, so to have to pay a fee to join another club (plus AA and ASNSW) and not be able to shoot there, will be too expensive for us. :-?

Ding,
I don't think so. A person could join a remote club, without attending, if the club were prepared to accept the membership. I think Frog Hollow had a few members like that, and that 2 Dogs also did the same in SQAS when he was in Gundi.
Robbo,
The same applies to you. There is nothig to say that you have to attend the club. In regard to your club, I believe the ASNSW rules state that there must be 4 registered members to constitute an affiliated club. But, for example, you could join an ASNSW club, one that charges very little over the ASNSW/AA annual fee, to gain full FITA membership entitlements.

At the moment anything much over the AA and ASNSW fee is a bit of a problem.

Just out of interest what does the Camden club charge?

Robbo,
What our club charges is not very much over the AA/ASNSW fees. And you would be welcome to join our club. We apply a user pays principle by charging range fees for shooting, and, obviously, that would not apply to you.
But that is not your main problem. I think the current by-laws state that a person rejoining an ASNSW club, having a lapsed membership from the previous year as a member, would be required to pay full membership fees for a year, not the discounted fees for membership in any particular financial quarter as allowed for newbies.
So, if you wanted to compete in an ASNSW event prior to 30/6/06, your membership fee would need to be assessed as for a full financial year which is an amount of $86.00 senior, and $58 junior, for AA/ASNSW, with any club fee on top.
If, however, you wanted to compete in events after 1/7/06, all you need to do is join a club, as mentioned before, and could enjoy the full benefits, including the travelling, to events.

Ppppsssstttt
Keep this to yourself, but we are looking at running a FITA 24 target field event in early July around the lake.
