View Full Version : Loose nock on string will it cause erratic arrow flight?

If your nock is not snug on your serving can this cause the arrow to kick or move before stabilzing on release. :roll:

Because we are human, yes. I've used nocks slightly too large when using a "starter" bow and the nock would move significantly. Sometimes fall off the string etc etc. I'd like to see this tested with the hooter shooter though.

My nocks are not "tight". The arrows do not fall off the string, but I can rotate the string without putting a side force on the arrows (which is my "design rule"). With the Hooter Shooter they group very well indeed (see the relevant thread).

You could change the size of nocks, and see whether that affects the grouping?
