Best way to put on ffp fletches

When putting on ffp fletches are you ment to clean the fletch base with acetone first or just glue them directly on :roll:

You've got to clean the base of the vane really well to get them to stick. This goes for the arrow shaft as well.

Rough up the base with some steel wool as well then clean with acetone.

When you first buy ffp the base is shinny, this is the run-off from da injection mould...so use some wet&dry and sand till not shinny, then wipe with Newtricks favourite beverage..Metho . Wipe shaft ( arrow ) too with metho , then glue . Easy as poo.

Sign writers tape on arrow, then acetone fletch then loctite 401
