This is like the polls taken on the 6:30 "current affairs" programs. B/S

It has already been pointed out Win & Win are missing, but so are many others.

SF
Spigarelli
Merlin
Best
Fibrebow
Border

And I am sure I have missed a few others. Sorry, Morto, but the poll was ill thought out. And, from the selection you have presented, I back Hoyt to come out on top.

I appreciate that many of the above are minor manufacturers, but you will get your answers to the question posed based on what the voter is presently shooting, and the majority would be Hoyt. IMO.

That certainly would not answer the question posed in any realistic way. BTW I am a compound archer, and have no bias to any recurve bow, so did not vote.

I voted for other because despite this poll there are alot more Recurves out there that would easily go head to head with Hoyt.

Take a look here.

http://www.samicksports.com/e_sub_02_06_01.htm

I find it rather unthinkable that A to Z was mentioned as being a contender for best recurve even if it's not a Samick spinoff.

Psss, there's been some pretty good reviews about the riser and limbs so far. Nothing about the sight though and the button's overpriced and some have claimed that the tip wears easily.

The Mathews recurve never went into production - so it'd be pretty pointless putting it on the poll.

Anyways, Hoyt is going to win, so it doesn't really matter :-P

There's also the BMG by Martinus Grov from Norway. www.bmg-archery.com

Mathews has purchased all the rights to the Sky Conquest. They were selling them as a Mathews with a par for the course horrible Mathews grip.

Vic shot his Sky Conquest to win Vegas this year. Brady Elison, one of the kids at the OTC in San Diego is now, shooting the red white and blue Mathews pictured above after his switch from compound to recurve this winter.

Cheers,
Pete

It's not a bad looking bow, which I find a bit surprising - I don't like most bows I've seen from small setups. I suppose one of them was bound to get it right sooner or later :-)

I was not having a go at your English skills, because I know you are from Quebec, and your English has improved over the periods you have been posting to forums. You seem to be learning, and that is a good thing. You might even be able to get a job outside of Quebec. :)

But a hiccup is a hiccup, mate. :D

By the way, my eldest daughter has lived and worked in Montreal for over 10 years, and your French would obviously be far better than hers.

But I still find it an anomaly that, in the middle of an English speaking, civilised nation, this situation still exists in Canada. My daughter has also had about enough of it and is soon to move to Calgary.

LOL!!!!!! yeah i believe i improved too 8) but for ure i ain't a native english speaker too, but yeah it's pretty strange that the quebec (a french province) is inside an english civilization, but that's also why more than 60% of the people here in quebec want us to be sovereign and have our own country...
but i don't care, i am almost bilingual (sure i'll never be as good as a native english speaker) but i can understand almost everything! So english or french i don't care, and anyway the french accent is always a Must with the ladies :P
