yes it does work, u just need to file the cavalier rest down a bit.. thats how ive gotten mine to work.

i filed the inside of the cavalier so that the button passes through but the nut on the button still hits the rest... if that makes sense..

but with out filing it leaves u waaay of centre shot

I've done the same as BrokenArrow. If you're buying the button, then try to get a longer one - otherwise you can make it work, so don't panic :-P

They come in different lengths and I'm not saying short, medium or long. The 5/16 ones come in 8 different lengths!!! The M8's have 5. And that's NOT all. The pins come in 5 different lengths too. I'm thinking of getting one for my Aerotec as well but I haven't done enough homework yet. Using a Cavalier Free Flyte Elite rest. Way I look at it, if you start measuring and calculating properly, you should be able to arrive at a setup where the body of the plunger sits just nicely INSIDE or slightly outside the hole and only the pin sticks out. Should be possible since they come in so many different lengths. No more having the arm hitting the plunger body then. Happens to me too with a Shibuya button.

Easy fix, just buy a dark green pin (colour denotes length, dark green being the longest) and trim to the desired length. Not ideal but works fine. From memory shortest to longest - white, black, light green and dark green. No need to hack your rest  .

Are the pins hollow inside? If so, then you can't really cut them down. Or is it a plastic coated metal rod?

I thought they were just a solid lump of plastic.

Kuru has one on his NX Xpert. Not sure whether he'd do it separately. Look in the Classifieds.

Archie, with certain brands, it's actually a PTFE coated or topped piece of metal.

They are made some form of plastic which is very durable. To correct my previous post, there is actually 5 pins - White, Black, Blue, Light Green & Dark Green.

When running this set up two years ago I was using a Beiter PL6529.5 which has a tip to colar distance 'A' in their specs of 25.5 - 29.5mm. Used the dark green pin, worked great. This of course is the correct plunger size, but if using a shorter button my previous post applies.
