draw force question

a friend has an older Darton compound (about 8 yo). He has graphed the draw force through the draw and has noted that it peaks, drops by about then reaches another peak the same as the first before dropping off as he reaches towards full draw.
Is this a timing issue as his other bow doesnt do this?
any ideas.

what type of cam system is on the bow?

not sure, I dont have access to it at the present but it seems to have two cams, rather than a cam and round idler. There arent any markings on the bow except the maker. No model, draw length etc. He has tried to identify it from the Darton website and cant identify it. I will take a digital camera to our shoot Wednesday night and get a couple of pix. Perhaps someone might know what it is.
