Yes, we all hate Strammit. If it's not the staw sticking to the carbon then its the rocks that the manufacturers kindly include in the sheets.
The club wants to try some high density foam planks as a direct replacement for the Strammit sheets (we use 1ft by 3ft or 4ft "planks" stacked and compressed). This is a really easy option for us.
I have tried the Danage foam butt, and think the material used would be a big improvement. I know it is a little hard to remove arrows, but the strength required is nothing compared to a carbon arrow welded into a new piece of Strammit.
So, I am hoping that some of you have some experience with suitable foam materials. I have obtained quotes on Ethafoam 700 and 900, but apperently there is none in the country at the moment according to Dunlop Foams.
