Indoor Qualifying/Ranking List opportunity in SA

After today's successful ranking shoot held at the indoor at Goolwa (South Australia) there is another one scheduled for July 9 which will be two FITA 18m Indoor rounds.

Today's single FITA 18m event was well run and due to requests the next one will give you 2 chances to submit scores for the AA Indoor Ranking List and also perhaps qualify for the 2007 World Indoor Championships.

Date: July 9 2006
Venue: Goolwa Sports Stadium, Glendale Grove, Goolwa
Start: 10am (get there between 9 - 9.30 is best)
Fee: $8.00 per round
Catering: Food available - pies, sandwiches, snack, drinks, soup
Schedule: Morning FITA 18m Round starting 10am, lunch for about an hour, then afternoon FITA 18m Round

There is likely to be a double FITA registered Indoor award shoot later this year at the same venue so keep an eye open for it. :D

It was a good day, the first time our club has held an Indoor Ranking Shoot. Lots of people helped out from the mothers of the Juniors that did a great job with lunch to Margarete & jack that painted the numbers, John DOS, Mike our Field Capt and everyone that showed up to help out. I cant list everyone but well thanks to all.

Some Scores : My Juniors Aaron Grubel & Jason Howe both shot 556 and as the qualifying score to submit an application for World Indoor 2007 was 540 for each of them, they have acheived the first step in their goal of attending, well done guys.

Tristan Barrett was only a couple of points off (just got a new bow two weeks ago) as was Sue Martin(550), Mike Felix & Sherry Gale (549PB) (you'll get it next shoot) Sarah Morphett (534?)

Chris Schach 576 well done & I got 586 so both of us have the minimum 570 to submit for World Indoor 07. Obviously there are lots of scores and I dont have them all (32 archers), but the club learnt heaps today and we will work on it to make it better in July.
