Hi archery buffs
my question is :-- How do you remove point from shafts
reason is that i brought 1 dzn jazz 1916 carbon arrows pre-made and on saturday i had a bad day and broke 2 arrows and i have removed the nocs from them but cant remove the points (they are the bullet looking type) i am a beginner and want to ne able to buy my own shafts, fletches, nocs and jig and do my own as it seems to work out cheaper than buying complete sets and i would be able to do feid repairs at the club should i need to but the points have me beat ... all help greatly recieved .....

if they are bullet points chances are they are glued in with a hot melt.
the easiest way to remove them is with heat and pliers.
get a small camping oven or a portable soldering iron (the little blow torch ones) and heat only the point. Only the point. then using the pliers pull out the point.
others i know use a bot of boiliing water to get them out when its carbons, just so they dont burn the carbon.
but your jazz arrows are alluminium so it shouldn't be a worry.

I agree with the above and only add to be careful when you release the head from the pliers at it will be very hot.

You can also stand them up on a normal stove hot plate on max. Not very energy efficient but will not burn the bits.

Barbeques work well when you run out of gas for your primus stove and it's urgent :-)

And as they are aluminium, the best way to try is with the gas burner previous suggestions, heating only the arrow head. It seems they may have been set in with Araldite, which is unusual for shafts like this. And for F's sake, use a set of pliers in attempting to remove the heads.

When I bought my first set of pre-made arrows (Jazz) they epoxied the points in. Pain in the a$$ to get out, if at all.
