Hey,
I am new to the forum.
I have been shooting for around eight months now and have just got a new recurve bow. It looks awesome!
Does anyone have any tips on perfecting the release.
I have problems with my hand flinging out sideways before going straight back.
It's really bugging me because the rest of my form is pretty good.
Thanks for your interest.

relax u'r release hand whewn u release

um.........Back-tention, get someone at u'r club to explain this to you if u don't already kno, that should help with it

Use u'r back muscles to draw and hold the bow, this will help with both back-tention and u'r problem, and is also the way people are supposed to shoot (as little arm muscles used as possible, u still have to use some though, get someone from u'r club to explain this in further detail)

hi i have the same problem and a club member told me that i should just relax my hand muscles and the string will leave in a straight line and my hand will naturally move backwards seems to be working and my grouping has improved except for my bad arrow day last saturday were i destroyed 2 arrows by doing the opposite to what i was told
