D loop attachment

Hi all.

Just bought a truball ultra extreme with talon head, It suggests to use on a d loop.

Is it better to attach the loop on tallon to string or use a dloop.

If D Loop: question is where to mount the dloop on the string.
Is there a distance below the nock point it should be located.

Just D-loop it & the D-loop goes above & below the arrow
