View Full Version : Fita rules
Where have they gone? I used to be able to find them on the AA site but now I can't. Was wondering what the max allowable vane length is..

I don't think there's one either, but you can check the rules on www.archery.org, if you can put up with their download speeds ;-)
AA it was there no meantion of vane length;)
There is no stipulated maximum/minimum length for fletching in the FITA Rulebook. The arrow is described in Rule 7.3.1.7.1 - the proviso is that the arrows "do not cause undue damage to target faces or butts." Apart from that there is just the max diameters for shafts and points. The only other exception I can think of relates to Field Archery where there are restrictions for the Longbow and Bowhunter Divisions but not to do with vane length.
