At the Victorian State Target Championships Bowtech was the most popular bow followed by Hoyt.

If it's ugly, it's a 2006 UltraElite.
If it had smooth gorgeous lines it's an 04/05

Actually, the Inferno color scheme came out quite a good few years ago. Can't remember when but I did see an old model Hoyt having that color scheme.
And grip, what grip? :-D

I'll get you a photo when you're ready for it. ;) Any more experienced archers out there who can help me out with this one? I didn't take note of the model. Was a smallish bow, with a short ATA length and DEFINITELY a Hoyt. The one I saw had gone through 3 owners, all of whom were known to me. Looked pretty decent, with laminated limbs.

Ok, got more facts now. Photo available on request. Not taken yet but I can get a few. (Starting to sound like a classifieds advertisement :-D )
The bow I mentioned in an Inferno color scheme is a Hoyt Sapphire. Don't know which year but it came with Command cams and had a 34 inch ATA length.
They simply called it Black / Red in the 2000 catalogue but it sure looks EXACTLY like this year's Inferno.
Do I get to going back to being an archer now, Hoytie? :-D
none of the above for now
happy with Merlin and Barnsdale bows

almost forgot..........have one of these as well...
I THIRD THAT !!!!
i like hoyts, but for other young girls like me they need to make bows with longer draw lengh as i have a draw lengh longer then alex wood but with lighter poundage and a ligjhter bow. I might of got a bowtec but they are just to heavy.

Actually Tegs, if you are seriously interested in getting a Bowtech check out the equalizer...it is very similar to the Allegiance, but lighter, a little faster, and shorter. It is their bow specifically with short draw people in mind...so doesn't go over 27". I recently got surprised with one for my b'day...unfortunately it was so light that we had to get weights to make it heavier because I was finding it difficult to shoot  I still recommend it wholeheartedly...though I did like the Ultratec I was shooting before that and as such have voted for Hoyt ;)
