Nah, even if you do that it won't stop the people who previously held the high scores from sitting on their a*ses for hours ;)

I don't see any great benefit ... however, is it possible to get some more games? I did notice that there are a whole lot of tabs for different categories... I just presumed that either we couldn't lay our hands on any others or that it was too time consuming to proceed?
