View Full Version : Indoor arrows
For shooting indoor (compound bows), would arrow stiffness be very sensitive issue? or.. the stiffer/heavier points the better?
Thanks

Nope. Really, they make fat arrows in light spines anyway so it should not really matter. 2613s are hugely fat but not FITA legal but you can get Pro Points for them in 180= grains. 2312 are a 417(from memory) spine and are pretty easy to get shooting from most set ups with the large NIBBs. If these are too stiff, a CXL2 150 would probably do the trick. Indoor is all about fat. The tightest grouping arrow I have ever shot indoors has been the 2312. 3 spots so no worries about breaking them.

Part two to this. James park spoke about it briefly on this website around his Vegas trip. Light poundage slow arrows with big fletching is great as well. I shoot in the mid 50s normally but if I were to set up an indoor only bow, I would do it at about 40-42 pounds with CXL2 150s an inch or two too long with the full weight blue points and 3 inch FFS vanes.
