well seems it will cost me $325 to enter two events and go to the dinner next year ($355 with that stupid clout, if i was that way inclined) ........................all i can say is at least i have a long time to save for it, i am going to need that time to get that sort of cash up not to mention flights, accomodation, car, food and the list goes on....."i feel like a pelican no matter which way i turn i have a massive bill in front of me" blackadder

The entry fees are pretty standard and I think it's possible to save 2 nights accommodation and 2 days car hire by missing clout and the wind-up function and going home after the matchplay.

I am not sure how you get that figure. By my calculation:
Target $100
Field $80
Judges levy $10
Total $190

If you also shot clout and attended the dinner (which I will not):
Clout $30
Dinner $45

These are pretty standard over the past few years.

Of course, if you enter late the +50% applies, and it is then:
$190+$95=$285
Plus dinner, etc. Then it can get as high as you suggest. But most of us choose to enter prior to the deadline.

Sounds sensible to me.

Yes Jim but he did design our teams shirts for the matchplay and there was a rumour that we would be charged a extra fee to attend any Nationals in the future due to having to much fun and bringing the game into disrepute. ;)
