And their weekend tech support is staffed by **** wits.
Ahaha, I rebooted my modem because it wouldn't load. I had like, 190 hours uptime before that!

I imagine it's probably pretty difficult, a bit like trying to get money out of a power company for a power cut...

Where I am, the power companies will soon (or already must) give rebates whenever there's a power shortage.

I don't buy or read the papers everyday, Brocky. Last time I read it a few weeks ago, they were going to pass something to make the power companies (more private ones coming in) offer rebates in compensation for power outages. Was pretty confirmed but didn't mention when exactly.

Whoa, 17 mbps. Get 10 guys in each continent with fast computers running at half that speed and a lot of game servers will go down. I'm on ADSL now with 1mbps but think of all those dialup guys! :-D

Most game servers limit individual connections don't they?
Anyways, quick connections like that are only going to get close to their maximum when you've got a fast connection to the server, like on a peering exchange inside the country, not to random game servers halfway around the world ;-)

Dunno what the problem is with internode... I've never had any issues with them and I'd go as far as rating them as one of the best ISPs in Australia... but that's not saying much.

I could tell you a few better ISP's. ;)
Servers aren't easy to maintain, even the biggest companies have problems with them sometimes. Although 3 days is getting on the bad side IMO.

Well, that's a matter of opinion. I guess it depends on a lot of things, if you set it up right they should be...
