Is there some kind of a Robin Hood club? Where recurve shooters can join after they bring their fused arrows.
I broke knocks before... I even splintered one arrow's end. But today... that's the real deal.
It's very sexually charged don't you think? I could save one of those arrows but don't have the heart to seperate them.
Definitely feel like I've taken the next step towards becoming a pro :D
Ok I'll stop rambling now... I think the sun outside is getting to my head... curse the summer.

Nice one, though i've seen some compounder actually split the shaft in half.
Great pics of the Robin Hood.
I was at my local club two weeks ago (Northern Archers).
Two brand new members arrived, their first time on the range since joining and qualifying to shoot without an instructor. Now, I had seen both of them in an archery shop just an hour before buying two new matched (Father and Son) compounds plus accessories and arrows.
The Father shot with his son for around an hour before shooting a robin hood. Now admittedly the robin hood was at 20 metres Pictures were duely taken and will be posted into the club web site. Gotta say that this was pretty dam good to see.
I've never done it. :(
Although I'm not complaing. A robin hood would put me down to 5 arrows.

Liam. You should talk to Progen and Leighton they must destroy a lot of arrows reading some of their responses.

Well done indeed, lol I dislike getting these as I can't afford the shafts to be honest. A couple of times it's fun, anymore than that and it makes your wallet cry. Couple of weeks ago I killed 13 arrows like this. I've only got 5 arrows left atm (can't shoot em now till I re-fletch them but at least I'm not killing em :c). Folks helped me out with this problem if you don't want it to happen again, I could have smacked myself in da head it was so simple.
Don't keep shooting at exactly the same spot on the target hehehehe.
Ouchie..... it is only fun the first few times, so enjoy it. The sound of arrows hitting each other on target really makes me wince, whether its mine or others.
I have had one robin hood but it was not in the 10. A couple of Maid Marian's (shear the back end of the shaft off) in the ten but that is it thank God. Pin nocks.... shaft savers.. some ppl dont like them but I would rather lose $2-5 dollars rather than $26.
The best one I have seen was posted in this forum sometime ago ... a carbon something or other inside an alloy shaft. :)

Well this was more like a 6 o'clock 9... but right after I got my new stabilizer... I think it made my arrows go lower, and adjusted the sight after that.

You like Robin Hoods? Here is the collection so far. The two with the nocks split were both hit with my McKinney target arrows and they were buried up to their vanes inside. Good fun getting them out.

It certainly was what they were trying to do on Myth Busters. When it happened it was one of the weardest sounds I have ever heard, nothing like the sound when getting the carbons or alloys. The previous owner of the shaft spent so much time lovingly making them by hand I almost felt sorry for Robin Hooding it. It is one of the best remembered in my collection.
