I took the old 6PM Hoyt 1 piece out and shot it on the weekend. 66" 44#, Used my 20-14 clout arrows, It shot great, 6 ends at 40 mts were 53 54 52 52 57 54. There have been days I couldn't do that with my mega buck take down. I enjoyed so much I might shoot it a bit more.
It got me thinking if there would be much interest in a Vintage class at a tournament, something along the lines of alloy arrows and bows made prior to 1980??

No!
No more divisions in this crazily divided sport!
If you want to shoot an old recurve, go ahead, but do it with everybody else.

Not at a state tournament , but why not organise it as a club shoot . We used to do things like that at our club for the fun of it , have a day set aside for old equipment , shoot an old round like a york or something and have a ball open it up to interested visitors and make some bucks for your club .
We don't need more divisions at sanctioned interclub shoots

I have an old 4PM Hoyt, 45 pounds at my draw length.
I shot a round a while ago using 1916 X7's.
Just about killed me, and made me realise that all this gear we now use is wonderfully easier than it was back then.
I managed to shoot mid 1250 FITA with that old stuff in the 1970, and could not believe how much easier it was in 1997 using a modern bow and X10's. Absolutely stuns me to think of the scores that Pace, McKinney, et al were getting back then with that old gear.
You could stipulate a rule that everyone must shoot a bow older than themselves. Might challenge a few.
