WTF is going on in the archery section on eBay Oz. All of a sudden the section is invaded with some multiple spamming crap for "World of Warcraft", over and above the normal crap.
I have reported this to eBay as being in breach of their own rules of no more than ten duplicate ads. Only a day or two ago I saw a similar problem discussed on AIUK.
I think eBay should take this seriously, as I will not visit them if I have to cop this crap, which will bury any genuine item for sale, when they infrequently appear.
This will obviously also hurt genuine sellers by the way "WOW" have swamped the site.

yeah i found that as well today when i visited. i guess its just another reason to keep my shopping online limited to urban archery. unless Marcus is thinking of selling WOW powerups??? :p

That's OK Primal, for our own gear, but when scrounging for "newbies" sometimes a good item might appear on eBay, although rarely. :(

I'm told it's 'ganking n00bs'. I can't be bothered paying constantly to play it though, so I'm hardly an expert :-)

I thought it was bad enough when it was swamped with Archery sunglasses, Hoyt Bar signs and Archery LED headlamps.
This is ridiculous though.
Doesn't encourage the casual shopper as its so hard to find anytthing worthwhile.

Never anything worth it on there anyway. Just :wank: selling 20 year old bows for near what they paid for it in the first place.

I was under the impression that ganking is specifically for a multiple-person surprise attack. Never played the game though.

Looks like the one I complained about has now been limited, but the bloody things have multiplied and mutated so that, apart from the first few items, the next 15 pages at least are filled with this crap. I didn't go any further than 15.
I tried to phone eBay but the messages tell you that anything to do with the site must be done on line, and who has got the time to work through their crappy, non-flexible, complaints system for each type of item for sale. And as Marcus said, just about all the stuff that is archery gear is crap anyway, although I did pick up some nice older recurves earlier this year.
Bye, bye eBay.
