The Bowmen of Melville are hosting a tournament next month and have two innovation prizes or rewards.
Apart from the normal placing awards and spot prizes etc, they are offering:
1) $250 to the club that enters to largest percentage of their affiliated members, by the closing date. This sponsorship was offered by local company Chatelle P/L.; and
2) 20% off the entry fees for clubs who have five or more members enter by the closing date.
I think that everyone needs to exchange ideas of what makes their tournaments a success. BOM had 90 entries last year, hopefully more this year.

Great idea! should encourage a few more archers to attend.
I checked the ASWA calender and it's down as a PAA shoot? Whats the PAA stand for?

Melville is in Perth
Last year there was 88 entries, thats a lot for any competition in Perth (just short of the number that attended the State Championships). Entry is $15 a head (i think), but if a club has 4 or more members (i think) entered they get a 20% on their entry fees. Nearly every person gets this discount.
I went down to Melville today mainly to bounce some ideas off Westopher but came away very impressed with the club. They are well organised with excellent facilities and a very friendly membership. A terrific atmosphere to shoot in, I think. I will definitely be at the PAA.
PAA? Westopher explained it as a metricised Old Pro shoot that operates in a semi circle with the targets getting progressively further away. This probably would have more sense if I had paid more attention but it sounded like fun. There will also be a few 'side shows' to keep shooters busy whilst waiting their turn to shoot. Should be a good day.
