i like this idea, definately cant have too many of them like jim said and would be great to get teams ready etc it could even be a good way to select teams closer to the event (lol i had to)

I, for one being a recreational archer really trying to improve my form and skill level, would love to be able to compete with others within my skill level.

So the idea of having 'classes or grades' is a good one in my opinion. Makes some of us least competitive archers still have something to strive for in terms of perhaps winning within your own class.

Having said that, it's always great to have the more experienced and successful archers in your tournament, it gives you even more of a drive to do better and you learn a lot from their styles etc, but you still dont necessarily have to worry about competing against them directly.

Whether these grades are based on offical scores/number of tournaments entered/age or whatever, it doesn't really matter to me. I would just like the opportunity to know that if I work hard enough I might be able to get 'something' for my tournament entry fee when I shoot alongside national team members :) ...and it will keep me coming back rather than not bothering to enter the next one cause i know that the top 10 have already entered.
