Hi! Just returned from a Cub Scout "day camp" where my son got to shoot some arrows for the first time. I have no experience either. I'd really like to get us going on this new hobby, but don't know where to start. I'd like to get him a good, appropriate, bow, but there are too many youth choices, from suction-cupped arrows to full on compound rigs. My son just turned 7 and is of average height and build. The bow he shot said "Scout" on it and may have been a PSE recurve type  . I should have paid more attention. It seemed a bit big and he had trouble drawing to full length, but that could also be a practice/training issue.

I'm interested in getting a starter bow for myself as well. 6'00," 200 lbs, but not necessarily Hercules (yet):) .

Could you please post some links or provide info for a newbie. Not interested in hunting (yet), I've got a lot to learn. Thanks!!:-D :-D :-D

Edited to say: PS: My son's a southpaw.
