I have a 05 hoyt viper tech bow. Sometimes when I draw back a creeking sound comes from the limb pockets. Is this common and is there a way to quiet this sound.

It's very common.
When I was shooting Hoyts, the way I overcame the problem was to disassemble the bow, remove the limbs from the pockets.....apply a very thin film of teflon based mountain bike grease to the limb ends then reassemble. Wipe off any excess.
Hey presto...no more squeek..:D

Would a few drops of oil in the limb pockets work?

I use powdered graphite. It comes in a little puff bottle (used for car door locks) The graphite gets into the "pores" of the matereial, and shuts it up.

The graphite puff packs are great.... just handle with care. I spilt some of that stuff on my gear........ argggggggggghh took ages to clean.
