Saber String

Hey ive have a bit of a problem with my new saber,
with the part which hold the string to one side to keep it out of the arrows path, the string keeps rubbing up on it and the sting is wearing down. Will this cause serious problems, any way to fix it?

ok so you have wear on your cables from the cable gaurd.

wear will happen on strings to get arround it try serving the cables that go through the cable gaurd. if you cant or dont know how to serve, find someone who can or, make sure that you wax them every now and then.

Replace the standard cable slide with a teflon version and keep the cables waxed.:D
