Census night tonight and just completed filling out all the details for Little Big Brother and his merry men. Interesting to note there was no reference to sport and recreational activities for the worker bees:rolleyes:

Hi coach,

It is the national Bureau of Statistics census the government conducts every five years. You should have received one in the mail to fill in.

Apparently NZ's got the highest proportion of Jedi per capita, and it wasn't a choice on our last form - despite being our fourth largest religion.

Im sure they just make up that jedi riligion thing and feed it to the media to encourage people to fillout the cencus, last time it was the putting new zealander as race (wasnt an option) the time before it was the jedi thing. People think they are being hippy liberials but really they are just being sucked in by the power of the media.

I think that is giving people too much credit...firstly that they have actually thought about anything they watch, and secondly that they have the capacity to think...people really are dumb enough on the general whole to just do what they are told...if that means making out your gay by putting that you are an elf...or a jedi...then so be it [Jedi could be inserted here for those sad enough to realise that this would be a quote from Star Wars...]

Hey, I did the NZer thing, they obviously wanted to know what colour our skin was from that question - if they want that, they can damn well ask for it, not mess about with "What ethnic group do you identify with?".

Hehehe - they had the same question in Aus...my housemates did not even see the option for Australian so put down other rubbish...trying to figure out what they were - very funny to watch ;)
