Late on wednesday night yokine archery club was broken into.

The thieves method of entry was to use tin snips (or something similar) to cut a man sized hole in our roller door.

At this stage it looks like the only thing stolen was a case of cocacola, some other refreshments as well as about $10 worth of coins from the drink fridge.

They did however ensure that every bit of paper and file was opened and thrown around the place.

The good news was that our brand new bow press (still in its box) appears to be there altough the box has been opened and its contents distrubuted around. I guess that we just have to hope we are not missing anything when it comes to putting it together.

Fortunantly everything of value is in a safe that is the size of a very large coffin and cemented 2 feet into the ground :)

But still the garage door aint gona be cheep, and we have a lot of clean up to do.

MOFU's.

They also taged the inside of our club house.
I shall post the "tag names" once i have had a chance to read them.

Sorry to hear the bad news. Lucky they didn't get away with too much. Its a real shame when you get people that dont respect others property. Hope nothing else is missing once you have a good look about.

Yeah That Sucks!!:(

Two ACT clubs have been broken into not long ago with thousands of dollars worth of stuff taken. One was re-broken into as well.....totally cleaned them out!!

Police have been through and got some viable fingerprints, and taken phots of the "tags".

We have been broken into many times in the past and that is why we got a safe. Proberly the best move we ever did. Since then, people break in, get a small amount of soft drink and wonder why they bothered.

In this case its going to cost us $1800 to get the door replaced because were putting a stronger one up as its already been proven that the current one is not strong enough and the same people could easily destroy it again.

The current door was 4 mill alloy, and the guy who is replacing it had never seen anything like it, he was so impressed that he has taken photos for his work colleges. He reckons they must have used the "jaws of life" or something equivelant.

sorry about all these breakin as its heart breaking to loose all the gear and having to replace it all ...

did these clubs have electronic alarms on them ?? as Ours does and the noise level will render the burglar unconcious within 30 of being in there so why not spent that little bit more on security

hope you will not be dishearted and bounce back from this

my club was broken into a few times they took some old bows which we later found out in the bush broken in piece's.
though one of the kids was kind enough to leave one of his school's tests in one of our sheds so yeah the police found the people who did it very quick :p
