Reasons to buy an Allegiance over an Old Glory
It's faster
It's got VFT
It's shorter
It's lighter
It's better looking
Reasons to buy an Old Glory over an Allegiance
You like longer bows
End of the day they are both as accurate as each other.

why?
Actually I wouldn't have either. Not long enough. I shoot fingers.
I have shot most of the bowtechs though and just find the Old Glory better to shoot. Just feels better for me. I like the feel of a slightly heavier bow, feels better in the hand.
I'd take the constitution.

Allegiance - only because the Equalizer isn't an option, and the Allegiance is pretty darn close to it ;)

At my draw length the Old Glory will have to do. From 32" it would be quick enough.
And I prefer the look of the Old Glory anyway. The straight riser of the Allegiance just looks silly to my eyes.

The Allegiance has a heavy reflex riser

ahh you shoot fingers that explains it. why would you shoot fingers with a compound ??? just doesn't make sence to me. Just shoot recurve if you want to use your fingers.

I have very bad shoulders from years of playing baseball. I tried recurve but shoulders just ached all the time. Even with compound I can only comfortably pull 50# all day.
No way I am going to give up the sport though!!!!!
Also just like the idea of shooting barebow.

Allegiance without a doubt.
No need for the length of the OG, especially since it is mainly acheived by getting rid of the VFT.
VFT is great, makes for a great feeling shot... and looks rad! :D
So why would you get the OG!?

I personally would rather an old glory (I have two). I know some people who hate alliegences but love old glory's because of the longer axel to axel and less speed...............Im one of them:cool:

yeah i just got it last week, but its still in the box, im scared that it might get scratched, so i just keep it in there, once in awhile i take it out to see if its still there, then whisper sweet things to it before tucking it nicely back in, then my wife pulls me aside and ask me why i dont treat here like that, and i tell her its because she's not a bowtech:beer_drink:

Man being thread is depressing to read being an Old Glory shooter :( but each to there own. I personally like the OG as its got a larger ATA which is handy with a 30 inch draw.

My bad. I was thinking about the Constitution. If I had stunted arms I would indeed look at the Allegiance:D ;)

The reason for the mistake is Adelaide has become Constitution heaven, however there is an Allegiance lerking in the shadows and I'll show it to you Sandy when next we meet. It's presently getting practice indoors, put another way I'm trying to come to grips with compounds. Love the bow and thanks for the good info Marcus.
