It doesn't get much better than
Hoyt UltraTec XT 3000 Cam 1/2
Sure Loc Supreme Site
Titan Scope
Ron's Rod, Cartel or VibraChek stabilizer
Golden Key Infiniti or Bernadini drop away rest
Wack some lx pro limbs on ! now that would be a shooter ! :)

Don't get a Hoyt piece of trash
get a PSE Quantium U1 like I'm getting with
ACE's, Sure-loc Challenger, Bernadini Drop-away rest and Cartel Olympian Stabaliser

You want to get yourself a decent recurve!
I'm shooting the new W&W infinite and W&W synerzy limbs!

should u be pulling 50 lbs if your only 13? doesnt sound very safe to me :-?
With that draw length I would be heading for the 2000 limbs on a Hoyt ProTec.
This will give you a lovely stable bow with sufficient speed & ideal string angle :o
i second what foxcub said! and make sure its a recurve

Hey! I'm 13 too. Don't underestimate the strength of a teen. I can pull a 45-pound bow (without killing anyone). :agrue: !!!

50#, you should be fine I shot that same poundage when I was 11 years old. Even though you can shoot it easily, I bet if you shot say 46# your last 15-20 arrows of a shooting day would score higher as you would have significantly less muscle fatigue......Just a thought champ

50# as a 11 year old. :o
I shoot 49# now.
i think that you should start with a low poundage and work your way up till you get strong enought that your muscles don't don't get sore on the last couple of arrows :-?
im 13, and i draw 47lb no problem....im thinking of upping it to 50lb after the nationals

You have to be careful if you go up to many #s you can really hurt yourself. I had a friend that loved to shoot and was pretty good at it. Then he hurt his shoulder pulling to many arrows through his 40# recurve I haven't seen him since.

yeah i agree with not going up too many pounds, i mean isnt that what got all the talk about changing the junior rounds started? the fact that to get the distance required for their age group ppl, boys in particular, had to increase bow weight?? so why not start with something comfortable, even slightly on the light side, that way your muscles will become acustomed to movement and process or archery, then move up to a heavier wieght? instead of going straight to the poundage side of the sport.

Pull as much as you can comfortably. Note: I'm 14 and I can pull 65#-70# (depending on which bow/cams) so 50 is definitely not too much for a 13 year old... as long as they've worked up to that.
My hunting bow next year will be 65#-70# and target will probably be 60#

I understand what you are saying...however what you are suggesting may produce disastrous results, your statement is far too generalized.
There are many, many lads quite capable of drawing heavy poundage, this doesn't for one second change the fact that THEY SHOULDN'T.
Pull as much as you can comfortably

Geez Erika almost divorced me when you put your poundage up to 47# I go into so much trouble. (I said 'hey it's his bow', that didn't work)
So before you do get me a good divorce lawyer.
