Best I could suggest is to choose from amongst the various types of large diameter carbon shafts. For example, the Safari's (made by Beman), or the similar shafts made by others.

alluminiums is the way I would go. cheap, strong, ,if they bend you can straighten them and when you get a good set of arrows you can use them for clout

I think the CarbonTech Sportsters are the way to go. They are cheap, around $10-$12 each, they are also small diametre which is great for target and they are strong. Set them up well and they are good. My wife shot a 1360 Ladies FITA with hers, a score she has not beaten with her X10's yet.
Thanks Guy,
I think I will have to go with the recomendation by Marcus.
Marcus did your wife sort the arrows?
What nocks and points did she use?

Yep, always weigh arrows when we build them. Although this set we kinda didn't pay as much attention to as we could have. They were within a grain. Points were the original CarbonTech points (they are better now) nocks were Beiter overnocks in Blue (the green ones would get spiral cracks for us I will note) and fletches were small Kurley Vanes.
Thanks Marcus,
Next question good sights to start of with?

Bernadini make a good sight. It's around $295 and built similar to the Sure Loc. It's pretty durable, and used by quite a few decent shooters.
You may find that you will only get 2-4 years out of it though, however to get longer life you will need to spend more. If you want to go higher look at teh Sure Loc and AGF sights.
The best scope to put on it is the Titan Scope that you can buy from our Shop link above. It's the best on the market and a good price too.
All can be obtained fromBows Arrows Bits (http://www.bowsarrowsbits.com)
scope mag?
I know how it works more magnification more noticible shakes:(
was thinking of a 4x but I seem to remember 6x being meantioned as better.

Even with a so-called "6x" scope the magnification is actually quite small, and much less than 6 times. The "6x" is actually quite misleading.
thanks James,
I have done abit of rifle target shooting and 6x to me is 6x:)

I'ld say start with 2-4x and move to 6x later. Learn to shoot well wthout stresssing about holding steady and then progress.
Jim, what do you recommend for beginner shooters mag wise? Jump into 6X?
who sells carbontech arrows? or have I gone blind??

BAB may be able to get them in, worth asking. Otherwise I think some mob in Canberra and also Altservices.co.uk do.

I would start with a 4x.
(And with a Titan it is easy to later change, and inexpensive).
In fact having both a 4x and a 6x lens can be useful - Bryce Lee uses a 6x for target and a 4x for field.
thanks James,
4x then. Found a carbontech dealer in SA. Think I'am set for now :)
