I am going to set up a IFAA/freestyle unlimited bow.
So far I have got the bow and the release.

Can anyone give me tips on what would be a reasonable setup for this style of shooting.

The bow I will be using is a 05 Bowtech VFT extreme 28" 60lb and I will be using Carbon Express arrows around the 340 gr weight (not sure if I will use 3D selects or something else)

The catch is I don't want to spend mega bucks to do this so at this stage I am considering one of the toxonics 3575 sights with a titan scope.

Anything else worth considering, also what would be a good rest, as I think the Whisper Biscuit would turn a few heads

Accuracy is everything so avoid the whisker biscuit. Go with the Spring steel style which are the best.

Carbon Express 3D selects are the goods. However use the ACC 3-38 size uni bushes and 125 (not 108. 125s are hard to come by usually ) grain points. SMALL G nocks and 2.5 FFPs. Get the 200s and turn that thing down to 55-56#.

Scope wise, I say a 6x Super Scope in the 1 5/8 size as it allows you to see quite well in changing light conditions.

Sight. Who cares as long as it moves finely enough and locks down. You only shoot 4 arrows at a time.

Don't waste time looking for speed. 240-260 fps is plenty.

I have a Dozen or so of the very arrow mentioned above if you want to buy them but with 108 grain points. In pretty close to as new condition. I will be in Canberra on Saturday arvo. Staying above the Jolimont Centre.

Edit. Make that 21. 9 with red/pink fletches and 12 with Green fletches. Colours weight matched but 3 grains between Colour sets.
