Not to be a killjoy, but you could always do a search of the forum for those limbs and see what has already been said about lots of them...

I have the pleasure of shooting Winnex. I have drawn many G3's. Some might not agree but (no bias just a general observation) the G3's are smooth but the Winnex are smoother. My 44lb 70" winnex feel smoother and lighter than my mates 40lb 68" G3's. The G3's feel gritty compared to the winnex. It may sound bias but its not. I have nothing against hoyt, I shot a Helix, but the Winnex limbs feel smoother. Also I ran a poll on another chat site some time ago and it was a resounding 80% of pollers prefer Winnex limbs. Im not trying to persuade just sharing my experience.
If some one gave me a set I would shoot G3's but I would rather spend my own money on Winnex. Also the Winnex are cheaper. In the UK at least.

I did a search on AF to see if any reviews had been done on some of these, and nothing came back (I was thinking the same thing at first).

I have been told about Extremes
Apparently they arent as smooth as G3 or Winnex but are quite quick and are also cheap.

Extremes are fast, but very tinny...probably not as forgiving as G3s or Winnex
I've shot Extremes and Winnex, i really liked the Winnex, felt smooth as and VERY quiet...I'm only using the Extremesto go up in poundage and the $250 difference :p

My winnex are shooting very quiet as well. I heard that about Extremes as well. Apparently very hard to get them sounding quiet. Very noisey are extremes.

hey tom,
long time no see, havnt seen you down at the club in AGES. ask Big James to try his limbs out so you can get a feel of roughly what the hoyt range is like. should shot on the weekend, you could have tried a set to Extreme limbs there too!
cheers NV

I've shot G3s for half an year, they are very smooth and consistent in conditions but i'd say they are abit fragile. of course they are also like the coolest looking as well.;)
I've also shot the samick extremes for a tiny bit and i found them to be very very good better than G3s i'd say because they are very very smooth and comfortable to shot with whilst not been as good in exterior design they are much cheaper and from what i've heard much more strong physically.

I'm not sure what changed between the M1s and the Vectors, but I like my M1s anyway. For the price (I got two pairs for the cost of a single pair of winnex or extremes, and in a couple years I can probably sell them both at 250 and buy a pair of Samicks. Pretty damn clever, I know.) and quality they're pretty sweet, but the limb graphics are totally obnoxious.

Fragility is relative - If you drop your bow on a rock, expect it to be damaged ;)

How do you measure the fragility of limbs anyway? Exploding G3s aside, I don't see how you can figure one set of limbs to be more "durable" than another.

Can be measured in many different ways. Some would recommend number of shots before damage/obvious degradation, others might suggest Izod or Charpy toughness tests, still others would suggest the old "how many times can I throw my bow down before something breaks" :p

They would be the ones who would be prime contenders for the Darwin awards

Completely off the subject but on the topic of throwing bows, I always used to throw my bow in disgust into the Lantana at a field course up this way. At an event one day, a guy from out west came up to me and gave me a spray before the thing even started. apparently there were juniors from his club who had seen me do it and just saw the throw not really where I was throwing it. They had been chucking their bows on the hard ground because they had seen me doing it. I was a bit disturbed at first but i am sure these kids are all grown up now and doing a fine job at emptying portaloos or something.

Samick Masters are the best limbs Ive shot and I've shot most of the top limbs. They are fast and quiet, with no stack (I draw 27" though) dont warp/lose poundage in heat and are reasonably priced.

i suppose i should 'expect' it to be damaged but what if we measure the fragility of the limbs according to how much it attracts dangerous things which can damage itself? Like a bow that is extraordinarily durable is one which if you throw it off a cliff it happens to land on 6 metresses that were suppose to be chucked away. or a.k.a. durability = Lucky. :)

yeah...if any of you wanted to kno at the moment I use some KAP challenger carbon limbs @ 32#at 28" ...But i pull 34# on the bowscale and 28.75"
