It finally arrived. I have wanted one of these since I can recall recalling.
Set it up and immediately started testing a new set of carbon express 3d selects in size 200.
These are as I suspected and was told by the maker a very good quality arrow that have no probs meeting or exceeding the manufacturers standards as advertised. 11 of the 12 shafts were straight to less than 1 thou with the last being 2.5 thou. Spine tolerance across the dozen is less than 2% which is well inside their claim of + or - 1%.
When i have more time I will go in to much greater detail with all specs on each individual shaft including weight, straightness and spine.
So 2dogs, gypo, bling boy etc. bring your bullets to ods new digs so we can start putting a dossier together on different arrows and their tolerances.
Looks like being a great tool. (much like Rhoid):thumb:

I had a chance to borrow Olddog's spine tester for a few weeks it's a great tool. Rebuilt all my x10's on it.

How exactly did you rebuild your X10s based on straightness readings?
ps. Who was the greater tool? OldDog or the spine tester? :D

Nah, he's not great.
Perhaps we should ask him for his opinion on his greatness.

Keep expecting him to say "But wait!, there's more" ;)
...Have to agree the Jig is very nice. Mind you we wouldn't need to buy them if Bloody ApexRob ever pulled his finger and made them like he said he would!!!! ;)

Not really, my rad meter doesnt read in micro. I bought the macro model with the sole intent of self analysis.:thumb:

Self analysis, owner operating, when will it end.
On topic, did you run a few older used arrows through the thing? Also, even though it is not measuring manufacturer's spec, I reckon it would be interesting to measure the deflection consistency of used arrows up near the point end on the worn section.

That is the long term plan. However, being old and blind I dont get to keep arrows in to their maturity, I invariably shoot them in to trees or in to oblivion. I may have to call for dontations from the younger set.
