The Bowtech guardian has partially jointed riser ends and by the look of it Marin Pantera, cougar and others both have wholly jointed risers.

I am curious how this will effect the mechanics of the bow.

Surely, focussing all or most of the flex onto one part of the riser must change the geometry of the shot...

I am sure this has been worked out... But I would be concerned that this would be a fail point......... a lot of force would be going through one part of the riser.....

What do people think...

I'm more interested in how they expect an articulated riser to work with different draw lengths.

I Imagine that the Martins are built like the Alpine Denali. ie just sections joined together.

That makes sense... but how would it effect the performance??

The joint would have to be bushed... another bit that can fail!!

if it locks in and doesn't move how will it effect it?
The Bowtech one however is hinged which is a concern.
