apparently the commander has the same AtA as the guardian  think that might be a typo. But heck, its pretty quick, 335fps.
The allegiance is almost identical in weight to the equaliser too :o
Smokey chrome is sweet! and the limbs look awesome!:D :thumb:
But the ally is black marble/camo only :(

Pity the Bowtech web designers can't spell gaurdian.... or was that guardian....
I'm glad I got an '06 Alli in red.........looks better than this year's offerings.... but I agree Primal, smoke is the best option now available.... I don't think I would have bought one ofthis years Alleigance over some of the other options...
I think my next bow will be second hand............ Paul R

the smoke colour looks like the same finish as the shadow chrome mag wheels.
Under features it says Made in USA. :D

Have to say.... I have more confidence in that than 'Make in China'.
Those Chinese made bows are..... ummmm crap.....
So, even thought I am not a yank-o-phile, Made is the USA is a feature until I see Made in OZ next to Bowtech bows..... not likely....

well if you go by the flag on my bow, it is made in AUS...
although, it still trusts in god... i didnt have a sticker big enough to cover all of it

That is a _big_ feature when you're selling to Americans - debatable elsewhere though :-P

The Smoke Chrome and the Flame on the limbs looks good.
Pity there are no colours though :(
I'm starting to revise my thinking on the centre pivot design of the Guardian too. It's looking more and more interesting each time I check it out.

So important question when is marcus getting the new lineup of bowtech in his shop?

Reading about the centre pivot, I think they have their physics wrong. They claim that reflexed bows are more succeptible to torque than deflexed bows. By my understanding, the reflex or deflex has nothing to do with it, it is the brace height that matters for torque. I felt that their explanation was poorly written.

Yes...but it is only marketing after all. Still, an interesting bow. Still wonder as I did before some weeks ago, when it was being canned as weird and ugly,
Is there anyone who wouldn't try it?...if only to see if its performance overcomes The Look??

Wouldn't being reflexed cause it to be more likely to have a lower brace height (and hence be more susceptible to torque) seeing as the riser is behind the limbs, and hence closer to the bowstring? Perhaps they missed the crucial link between "reflexness" and brace height, and simply labelled reflex risers as more susceptible to torque.
I agreee though Jim, the stuff they have written is pretty poor.

Already ordered a variety (camo for now, will do target later this week) and just now have to sit back and wait for delivery.

Might be worth having a 'launch'.... when they come it... invite a heap of people and test them out....
Any left-handed ones in the order. I can hope, can't I.
If not, I'll test out the Shadow Cat. I might be good. It is possible.
Marcus

Yeah I will.
No Lefties in the order, unless someone wants me to get one in for them of course.

That's cool..... I'll just bring the NOVA along........ You can do the '98 Jennings' upgrade on it..... It must have been bad!!

The constriction looks like it would be a good shooting bow. I love a little longer axle to axle. With Hoyt not offering there 38 pro or 38 ultra in a longer limb I might give Bowtec a try.
Question what makes Bowtecs binary cam a great cam?

Question what makes Bowtecs binary cam a great cam?
It's fast, efficient, easy to shoot, and does not suffer from any timing issues associated with hybrid or dual cam systems.

no he had a different 98 Jennings bow because his was silver and mine gold and mine was put through a band saw.
I think my dad still has the bits, will find them on the weekend and display in the shop.

I guess if you're out hunting in the back-blocks in freezing temperatures, a heated grip would be pretty sweet.
Sounds like a pretty decent idea ;)

I like Bowtechs alot, and their new lineup is growing on me.
I've been thinking though, that their slogan "refuse to follow" is pretty silly.
Are they suggesting to archers that we should refuse to follow them with their latest innovations?

the only bow out of their new line up is the Alleigence, the others just look like they will explode or somthing... i was kinda expecting more from bowtech, but i guess all the other brands now have to catch up! (talking about Binary cams.. not that new weird stuffs)
cheers NV
that alliegence is sexy

I think it still looks like a good bow, but unfortunately it's lighter, shorter and 10fps slower than the '06 model. But, the redesign of the binary cam looks good, and the extra brace height is nice.
Their centre pivot bows look interesting. I can't wait to check one out in the flesh.
redesigning the binary cam was due to? lean? or was there another issue?

heated grip sound pretty intersting... good for cold days, it would be nice to have a hand warmer on the bow itself. Mmmm. Though doesn't Fita not allow any electronic devices on the bow? Unless I'm mistaking that its going to use other resources, besides electricity?

Correction to my above post...the '07 Allegiance is not slower than the '06 model after all!
So, they've kept the speed and made the Brace Height longer. Good job ;)
:D
I was looking at the spec for the smooth mods :silly:
