Just been doing a bit of surfing on the net and I came across this very interesting Idea Here's the url for people who are interested www.archery-association.org Their mission statement says "The Archery Association, originally conceived to promote a series of prestigious tournaments, has evolved into an umbrella organisation to provide a platform on which the sport of archery can exist and grow without unecessary bureaucratic interference. Offering advantages to archers from the grass roots right up to the top of the International tree " They call themselves UK archery promoters ! It seems like a really good idea, less bureaucratic interference more marketing and promotion thru sponsorship I've emailed them and asked to send me some details about adapting the same concept down here
So what are peoples views on such an association ? An archery association run by archers FOR archers !

Marketing is an important thing. Archery marketing is pathetic in this country. How much promotion and advertising does AA or AV do? None. Look at AA's website, it is not a professional site at all. Yet this is how people guage the sports.
I'll be interested to see what these guys are about.
