How does the mechanism work? Feed in a bit of d-loop material, press the arms and it d-loops a string?...

I use Circlip Pliers to do essentially the same thing.
Only problem was you dinted your serving near the nock.
These have a broader base so should work well.

I have used them and they work great. Lot better then the needle nose pliers that I have been using to get the d loop tight.

So, forgive me....but what's the point?
Is it really that hard to tie a D-loop...or do these do something really cool?

Tip:
Tie loop. Put release aid on it. Hold string with other hand. Pull as hard as you can. Use $30 to buy beer.

They don't tie the loop.. They tighten the knots evenly without twisting the string.

hmmm....OK
I'll reserve my judgement until I've seen one ;)
Personally, I think tieing a D-Loop and tightening the knots is pretty simple, but hey - I accept these might do a better job. I look forward to checking them out.
Of course...they might just be a piece of crap, and I might just keep using my own secret proprietary method :D

When I use the Circlip pliers I can get the loop so tight on the string that I've actually snapped the loop material.
The benefit is that I measure my draw to the nth degree, and getting my loop spot on WITHOUT further stretching is critical. I used to do it the NT's way but found the loop continued to stretch for some time after.
So these should be quite handy.

You sure that didn't happen because you nicked the material during all that pulling? ;)

Nope..... just brute Dog Strength ;)

So OldDog must have broken quite a lot of loops too then.

Or you tied a lousy knot!!! :D :D :D
You know what they say about poorly tied knots compromising the breaking strain of the material, yeah?

No it didn't snap at the Knot..Knob!;)

Then something's even MORE wrong because there are only a few knots known to man which will NOT reduce the breaking strain of a piece of string and none of them are applicable to archery. :D (That's according to a fishing knots guide)
So you must have nicked the center during the pulling!!!
C'mon, all out with it. I know, Mr Dog.

I guess they sound cool.
They should prevent a few face punches by people who don't tighten their loops properly before they draw their bow ;)

Isn't that why you perverts picked up compound archery in the first place?

Only time I ever punched myself in the face was when my release rope broke one day ;)
My own stupid fault for not keeping a better eye on it's condition.
;)
Crap it hurt!
