Marks on Sting From Arm Guard Contact

I have noticed that my sting is showing signs of hitting my armguard. Would serving the string that much more, effect things to much:confused: If so, what would the effect be?

no serve the area getting hit. We add another 4" of serving to Erika's strings for the same reason.

likewise hannah and my self have served about 4" down the string. especially after we got the thicker beiter arm gaurds.
